Day 3: Hockey vs AH&BC

We were set against a team of mixed ability U14 but it was pretty clear from the off that there were a fair number of 1st and 2nd team players in this squad. They were well drilled, incredibly skilful and used the space well. 

For most of our players this was the first time that they have played 11-a-side and for a couple it was there first ever hockey match! 

The score (12-0) did not reflect the commitment and the effort put in by our girls. We battled them royally and they had to earn every shot on goal. They were impressed by our physicality and by the level of skill and speed of a couple of our players. We did have some chances, and some great possession. 

Our goalkeeper, was amazing, saving the vast majority of shots and forcing them to score from close range.
